Smelting gold is an intricate and delicate process, requiring highly trained professionals and high-tech equipment. Smelting is accomplished by using high pressure, intense heat, and numerous chemicals to dissect and break down the ore.
Gold Refining
Post smelting, gold ore undergoes several comprehensive processes to attain a 98% – 99.5% refinement. As gold is a noble metal that shows exceptional resistance to oxidization, the impurities formed in the smelting process bond with the chemicals instead. These chemicals then oxidize and rise to the surface, forming a separate layer on the surface of the molten gold. These chemicals are skimmed from the exterior, leading to pure refined gold.

The process of assaying is utilized to monitor the quality of the raw materials throughout the refining process to determine the fineness of gold. It is assayed to ensure standardized excellence and transparency.
